Paul McCutcheon is head of Real Estate at Kane Tuohy. He has been a partner in the firm since 2015.
Paul is a specialist in commercial property law with additional expertise in insolvency and private client law. He has significant experience in real estate, acting for clients ranging from multinational companies, banks and small local businesses, to foreign governments, local authorities, statutory bodies and institutional investors.
Paul represents developers in the sale of large-scale residential and commercial developments to institutional investors, local authorities, housing associations and private buyers. He acts for both landlords and tenants in the negotiation of commercial leases for retail, office and industrial properties. He has also handled the property portfolios of substantial retail chains and manufacturing and warehousing companies.
Paul holds an LLB (Hons) from TCD, and post-graduate diplomas in Business Studies, Property Tax, Insolvency and Restructuring and Finance Law.
Paul acted for a plc developer in the sale of over 130 residential units to a PRS investor for a consideration of €64,000,000.00.
He has also acted for developers in the sale of over 2,000 new residential units since 2020.
Paul developed of a suite of leases and other transactional documentation for use in a major industrial estate post acquisition by an institutional investor and subsequently acted in the leasing of the individual units within that estate.
He also acted in acquisition of a significant development site in County Kildare and the negotiation and agreement of a profit share agreement with the joint venture purchasers.
